DYSLEXIA RESCUE® ACADEMY FOR FAMILIES
They Said She Would Likely Never Read.
Several highly respected specialists and educational experts told this bright, determined young lady's family that she would likely never learn to read. In the middle of third grade, a school administrator urged the family to seek help from Diana Finch. This video shows what's truly possible—from a pre-reading level comparable to that of a three-year-old to reading at a beginning first grade level, during just the first few months of the program. As a course member, you will learn the same instructional content and methods, then practice them step-by-step with your own child— one day at a time.
Welcome
Why the Dyslexia Rescue® Method Is Different
Most reading programs are designed to teach the child. The Dyslexia Rescue® Academy is designed to teach both the child and the parent. If your family is like many of the families I've worked with, you've probably purchased books, curriculum guides, or boxed reading programs with every intention of helping your child. But for many families affected by dyslexia, ADHD, or other forms of neurodivergence, lengthy written manuals can be overwhelming. They often end up on a shelf—not because parents don't care, but because the format simply doesn't match the way many families learn best.
That's why the Dyslexia Rescue® Method is taught through a Watch—Learn—Practice—Succeed approach. You and your child will watch four 45-minute lessons each week. As you watch, you'll both learn the same concepts and skills together. You'll also learn how to teach those skills with confidence. Pause the videos whenever you wish to practice together, then continue when you're ready.
Each week, you'll reinforce what you've learned during two additional 45-minute practice sessions. This consistent cycle of Watch–Learn–Practice helps children build strong reading skills while helping parents become knowledgeable, confident helpers. Just as importantly, you're learning together.
Instead of reading becoming a source of frustration or conflict, it becomes a shared journey of discovery, growth, and success.
The complete program is expected to span approximately 14–18 months, allowing your child to develop strong, lasting literacy skills one step at a time.
Learn Together.
Grow Together.
REAL FAMILIES. REAL PROGRESS.
What Parents Are Saying
Hear from families who have experienced Dyslexia Rescue® instruction firsthand.
We were really struggling with teaching our daughter the basics of reading for years. She was very resistant to learn and seemed like no matter how hard we tried, she would flip her letters around and have trouble retaining what she learned. She dreaded the thought of school, and it kept getting worse year after year. We took her to a neuropsychiatrist and they diagnosed her with ADHD and dyslexia. Now that we had that information, we weren’t sure what to do with it. Luckily, my wife found Dyslexia Rescue and signed her up. My daughter is the age of a second grader but her reading skill level was that of early stage kindergarten when we started with Dyslexia Rescue. Diana said she could have her at a 2nd grade level in a few months. That sounded way too good to be true to me, but we had hope and had nothing to lose. The first session with Diana I could see the “magic” happen. Diana has so many years of experience, relates to the struggles the children are having, and has far more patience than my wife and I. Within a few sessions, our daughter was sounding out words. Within a few weeks she was reading full sentences and getting through short books. We are excited to see our daughter grow and gain even more confidence with reading in the next few months. I cannot recommend Dyslexia Rescue enough, it surely has rescued us!

2 kids and over 2 years with Diana and the results are nothing short of miraculous. My children struggled in all areas; decoding, comprehension, site words. Being Covid kids, phonics not being taught like it should; left things looking very bleak. Diana was amazing from day 1. My son was a year and half behind when we meet Diana; with Diana’s program he was on grade level in 7 months. Both kids are master decoders and leaps and bounds above their class on the rules of the English language. I recommend Diana to anyone and everyone who struggles with reading or just needs the extra support. 2 years ago if you told me my kids would be excelling and meeting all their goal at school I wouldn’t have believed you. Diana was the missing piece and now she has given my kids all the support and tools they need to succeed. I cannot recommend her program enough! Absolutely Amazing!!!!

Our son struggled with vision issues when he was in preschool which led to delay in phonemic awareness. He showed frustrations daily with reading and writing. Dyslexia Rescue worked with him 3 days a week for 6 months to not only work on phonemic awareness and reading but boosting his self confidence with his school work. All of the hard work paid off!

My son came into Dyslexia Rescue so insecure about reading. He failed the state testing for 3rd grade and was really down about it. Within 3 months of weekly tutoring sessions, he is now reading above grade level and wanting to reading instead of having to!!! Diana has saved my sons educational career, in my opinion!! We are forever grateful!

The Story Behind Ellen's Journey
Ellen* was a bright, funny third grader with severe dyslexia who struggled to read even the simplest kindergarten-level texts.
Her devoted parents had spent years seeking answers, consulting respected specialists and pursuing different interventions. Despite their efforts, they were repeatedly told that there was little more anyone could do—and that Ellen might never become a successful reader.
Then a school administrator recommended Diana Finch, an experienced dyslexia specialist and reading interventionist known as The Dyslexia Whisperer.
That decision changed everything.
Through Diana's Orton-Gillingham-based structured literacy instruction, Ellen began a new chapter in her reading journey—one built on carefully sequenced lessons, patience, practice, and progress.
Today, Ellen's real lessons form the foundation of the Dyslexia Rescue® Academy for Families, giving parents the opportunity to learn alongside their own children while observing specialist instruction in action.
Rather than simply being told what to teach, you'll see how concepts are introduced, explained, practiced, and reinforced.
Your family can follow Ellen's journey, one lesson at a time, while creating your own story of growth and achievement.
